From
there, I went to the Gaylord Palms Hotel and immediately called my
buddies RichInKC and Brian Bentley. If anyone could help me, it would
be these two guys. They both said the same thing, "Get your a$$ to
a Mac store now." Long, long story short...when I got to the Mac
store there were two wrestling fans there who pulled my desktop,
which had my presentation on it, off my dead computer. The next morning
I arrived at 7:00 AM for my sound check. This was bigger than I had
thought. There were three huge 40 foot video screens, one behind
me and one to each side. The room was narrow, but it was really deep.
There were two more huge video about halfway down the room. The stage
was huge. If I wasn't used to performing in front of huge crowds,
it would have been overwhelming. We tested the video and everything
came off perfectly. I felt secure in the fact that I had reacted
well to the 10%. Right on time at 8:30, I was introduced and brought
on stage to a phenomenal welcome. This would go on to be the best
speaking presentation I have ever given. Everything was rolling so
smoothly... until I got to my last video clip which features the
hero of my story, Terri Lange. Terri is the first person to take
Living Life at 90% to her personal life and is has benefited her
mentally, physically, and even financially. I had told her story
with such passion because I was such a huge part of it that when
we came to her part of the story people were sitting on the edge
of their seats. I told the audience that "Every picture tells a story" and
hit the button on my Powerbook Terri's name popped up, but there
was no video file which immediately made me chuckle. I looked up
at the crowd as I started to look for the file. I told the crowd, "Well,
I didn't think I'd have to tell this story, BUT it looks like I'm
going to have to. You see, this really isn't my computer." At that
moment, I asked the tech guys to try to find the file while I told
the whole story of what happened in the crown room with that bottle
of water...which turned out to be the funniest story of the day.
As I finished, I looked at the tech guys and asked them if we were
going to get to see Terri. They just gave me Benoit's hand across
the throat gesture to let me know there would be no Terri. I looked
back at the crowd and said, "I guess you'
re
not going to see Terri. You'll have to trust me when I say she looks
fabulous. If you really want to see Terri, go to http://www.diamonddallaspage.com and
look for her under YRG Case Studies." I followed this by saying, "Hey
do you remember Smokey? The buddy of mine I told you about who wrote
Positively Page with me? He just happens to be here. On the site,
you'll see he started the program at 270 pounds and today, seven
months later, he's down to 197 pounds." Then, totally impromptu with
no planning, I said, "Smokey, come on out here." He popped up on
stage and told the crowd, "You have to understand I haven't been
197 since the Sahara was a forest." which brought a huge roar from
the crowd as I sailed into the finish. If you want to find out more
about Smokey and Terri's journey in their own words, check out their
case studies on the site. I would like to thank my agent Arnold Sands,
Maria Maggio and Rush Oliver ...and John Bakowski for taking a chance
on me...

When
I got back home to LA my girl Angella and Carole had set me up with
one of my best YRG interviews to date with Gayle Anderson from KTLA.
Gayle is a trip and I loved her. She had us on doing and explaining
YRG on and off for about two hours and laughing our asses off. This
was by no means your normal interview if you get a chance check out
the site to watch what went down.
After all of that, I came home and began working night and day to
prepare to shoot YRG: The DVDs. There will be three different YRG
programs on DVD which will be available. They are YRG: Yoga for Regular
Guys, YRG plus 50, and YRG: The Fountain of Youth. We'll start pre-selling
the first YRG on DVD within the next two weeks when we launch our
online store. The DVD will ship in May, but we will let you pre-order
it in advance.
In
my movie world...the first trailer for Driftwood is now online NOW!!
It's featured on the main page of www.diamonddallaspage.com.
Tonight I went to a private screening of Driftwood at
Ricky Ullman's house. Driftwood isn't finished yet
but it's almost there.
Ricky (or Raviv as his friends call him) lives the real life version
of the show Entourage. For starters, Raviv lives
in the middle of Hollywood with six of his best friends in huge house
once owned by the one and only Charlie Chaplin and they say the house
is supposed to be haunted
