What’s up?

The 19th anniversary of my 29th birthday extravaganza party... that what was up, totally up, up and away. Since we’re leaving our apartment to move into a condo we just bought down the street from Marina Del Rey in a new seaside town called Playa Vista, Kim decided to throw the birthday extravaganza of extravaganzas. There must have been 300 people going in and out of our party during the night. I know at one point there was well over 150 people at the party. Kim brought in our own bartender and a DJ…yes, we had a DJ. We stuck the bartender on the balcony overlooking the city and the DJ was inside the second floor so the music would radiate through the apartment, but wouldn’t overwhelm our poor neighbors. So many of my bros and babes stopped by. The party started at 9:00 and by 9:15 we already had 30 people there.

My first surprise guests were my buddy John Schneider(JRS) and his lovely lady Elly. As it turns out, JRS’s birthday is April 8th so he came down to have a cocktail with the other birthday boy. You want to talk about degrees of separation, one of my other best friends, Jamie Waldron, came by with his lovelyl wife Karen, whose birthday is the same day as mine, April 5th. Now here’s the degree of separation…Jamie’s father created "Dukes of Hazzard." When Jamie walked in, I told him he wouldn’t believe who’s here. (Add pic of Page, Kim, Schneiders/Jamie, John, Rich – the birthday boys... rest of pictures on site) The only one who was missing was Jason Hervey, who was there last year, whose birthday is on the 6th.

The next surprise visit came out of nowhere. When I went downstairs to let the DJ in, I turned around and there’s my boy John Thompson (JT). JT and Diana were the friends we went to Hawaii with last year. (pic with JT) JT called me earlier that night when I was running around getting the place ready as if it were a nightclub opening. He said, “So, what are you doing?” I told him I didn’t have time to talk because people were going to be there in an hour and I was working on getting things ready... of course I was no where near ready. He told me he wished he could be there and I told him I wish he could be too. So, thinking JT was still in Park City really threw me for a loop.

There’s a great picture of Rob Zombie on the site who came to the party with his lovely wife Sheri. If you saw "House Of A Thousand Corpses", Sheir played Baby. The real Sheri couldn’t be farther from that wild, wild character. Also in the shot is their close friend Connie, you might recognize her from "Spin City" and my West Coast massage therapist, Averille. There’s also a great shot of Zombie mimicking me doing the Diamond Cutter.

Another big surprise for me, was the arrival of my buddy Barry Blaustein. Barry was the writer for the Nutty Professor movies, just to name a few. Wrestling fans will recognize him as the writer and producer of Beyond The Mat. So many people showed up that night that I could never name them all. I want to thank my wife for putting together a kick-ass party. I also want to thank Josilyn, Shana, Monica Kevin for helping us clean up at the end.

Also this week, I stopped by the UPW to see Rick Bassman and his group of young wrestlers. I did a little inspirational speaking talking about following your dream. Afterwards, I took about 40 of them through a 30-minute yoga workout. A lot of them immediately understood the benefits that they get if they continued. The response was great and I will guarantee you that some of them will continue to do it. As young as these kids (wrestlers) are they now understand how inflexible they are.

Speaking of Yoga, my girl Laurie Dolphin, came by the party and dropped off my demo of the book I have been working on with my partner, Dr. Craig Aaron “The YogaDoc”. This is Yoga meets Maxim, regular guys and hot babes. It looks spectacular. Speaking of hot babes, you definitely want to check out all the pictures from the party. There is a picture of Kimberly and a few other hot girls at the party.

There are also pictures of when I was at "The Tonite Show" with Los Lonely Boys and Kevin Eubanks and another one from a group of wrestlers from Italy (my favorite place on the planet) The XIW Wrestlers Diego and the boys throwing up the Diamond Cutter sign... BANG!

I’ve gotten incredible amount of responses since I pulled a Terry Funk and announced that I am coming out of retirement and will do independent appearances. No, it wasn’t an April Fool’s gag. I’ve also gotten a lot of requests about speaking at schools. It will take us a little while to sort through them all and get back to you, but I want to thank everyone for their interest. I'm not jumping on anything right now due to a ridiculous schedule which you will read about in the coming weeks. When we firm up any appearances, I will keep you posted on my site and on the emails so you know if I am coming to your area.

In closing I just want to congratulate my niece Sami for receiving the Presidential Community Service Silver Award... you GO girl... I'm very proud of you. I also want to send a shout out to ... T-Mac you're my hero bro... stay strong.
