Steve Keirn
Date: September 8, 1997
by RichInKC

RichInKC: It is amazing to me that your father was able to accomplish so many decorations while being out for such an extended period of time.

Steve: Absolutely, he went through three promotions.

RichInKC: Imagine what else he could have accomplished had the military been able to bring him back earlier.

Steve: Right.

RichInKC: Steve, how can wrestling fans help?

Steve: I am just seeking anyone's help and assistance on this. Anyone who has an answer or solution to the problem, I'll accept it by email at SKEIRN@GTE.NET. My next step may be a nationwide petition. By the way, I also have a web site (that I created with my 13 year old son) contains an ad for a wrestling bloopers videotape from Florida Championship wrestling. That site is at http://www.baylink.net/keirn.

The tape contains outtakes with many people who got their start in Florida Championship Wrestling. Diamond Dallas Page is seen here in his early days as a manager, as are many other current superstars. Bobby Heenan does commentary with me on the video. I enjoyed my career and appreciated all my fans. Without the fans, you have no business. The wrestlers that lose sight of that don't deserve the positions that they hold.

My dad is my true hero. I wear a POW bracelet with my dad's name on it to this day. It reminds me that, no matter how bad things get, my dad has survived worse, so I know I can.

RichInKC: Steve, thank you for sharing your story with us. I hope one of the thousands of fans who will read this can help.
